Well, the holiday season is here, which means a lot of busy schedules for everyone.
I hope you find some time to relax and spend time with family too. This is a short month, with school ending on December
16th. Have a wonderful break and holiday season.
Holiday Crafts: Cinnamon and applesauce ornaments, Santa Chiles, Wreath ornaments.
Classrooms that Care is a program sponsered by Scholastic and your child is
participating by reading books. It's that simple. Once our class accumulates 100 books read, we send in our poster
and Scholastic is donating 100 books to needy children around the country. What a great incentive to get your child
to read. All they need to do is check with me to make sure the book is right for them, read it and then fill out a short
form and turn it in to me. They get to sign their initials on the poster once they completed the form. We already
have about 20 finished reports. Is your child one of them?? Let's try to get those books read by December 16.
Mission Projects: The ultimate fourth grade project is just around the corner.
We are finishing Chapter 4 in Social Studies and about to start talking about the mission founders in California. Students
will be instructed to choose their mission before Friday of this week, and then given directions about what to include in
their model.
This week's Homework:
